  We went today, water was warm and wonderful, a bit rocky at the beginning then turns to sand areas. There is barely enough room at the shore to sit as there is a slight uphill and a semi busy road, but there is just enough to leave your stuff on the rocks and run into the water which we did right away seeing how warm the water was! So there is water, a bit of rocks, then a road, then a grassed park where everyone sets up their own sun shades and chairs or uses some of the scattered park benches available. You'll need to walk your kids back and forth to the water since they have to cross the road, but if your going in with them anyway then that part doesn't really matter. The kids playground is really good my young one loved it. Overall the park and beach are verrrry clean. Parking is expensive, we paid $14 for 2 hours so if your planning to stay the whole day it would be way more.
